Lean Systems
The location has a strong commitment to Lean systems. They haves standard work for each and every one of their processes which is periodically reviewed for improvements. The location also has a 5S committee that meets once a month and is responsible for keeping each work areas clear of any clutter. The location also has a Value Stream Map which outlines its issues and it is up to the Six Sigma Project Manager to resolve any issues that are found when mapping out the Value Stream Map. They have to present their results to the General Manager and the Region Black Belt on a quarterly basis. The documents are also part of the Service Quality Audits conducted by corporate. During these audits every employee has to be aware of what the locations short comings are and what is being done to resolve them.
